Yes, strength training can be safe and highly beneficial during pregnancy when performed with proper guidance and modifications. It helps improve posture, core connection, and prepares the body for labour and postpartum recovery. However, training should be tailored to each stage of pregnancy and individual needs, focusing on safe techniques and avoiding adverse pressure on the abdominals or pelvic floor.

“I’ve been coming to the postnatal classes at Move Strong for a while now, and I am starting to feel much stronger! I love how they help you tailor the class to your own needs and ability, and I can take it at a good pace that’s manageable for me. My little one always seems to enjoy it as well! You can have a little break and feed your baby whenever you need to, and it’s a really welcoming environment.”
“In Rowena, I have found a personal trainer who is technically competent, widely experienced and possessor of loads of emotional intelligence. The latter is very important to me: I wanted to work with someone who understood my fitness goals, but also all my life ambitions and challenges.”
